You need to go to Dell's site and look under support, look up your model and look for display drivers
Install the drivers and this should get you a full screen

Well Noo can put resolved on this post, I found the problem and have eliminated the sound from the mobo
The problem was in a bios setting or poor implementation of Thermal throttling temperature
