If worse came to worse, you could always mount the NTFS partition on a linux box and then remove the files that way. Probably sounds difficult but it's pretty easy if you have a linux box readily...

If you are sharing folders, be sure to check your NTFS permissions in addition to the standard share permissions. It will be the "security" tab next to the share tab.
