Yes you might have imported to the personal address book (*.pab) instead of the windows address book (*.wab)
Have a search for both - how did you import the address book, from a CSV file?

I worry about places that "could not stand to be re-deployed". Where is the back up and disaster recovery?
Much quicker to do a bare metal recovery than altering 2000 reg keys.

Test disk for those RAW partitions that aren't... takes a while but very reliable. Ordinary deletions PCInspector which is free too

Why would you want to risk bringing corruption across? A lot of people cite time, but lets face it, if something corrupts, you can spend a long time sorting it out.
