have you tried another computer, if you plug it in and dont get the add hardware wizard, the device may be dead....

check his default gateway, and DNS server addresses, if you have to set them maunally to ones gleaned from another computer that can get to the web.....

To answer you last question, no a repair install done properly will not destroy any files. Since you have an HP i recommend you press f10 at boot, it should launch you into the HP recovery program,...

enter safe mode, click the start button, click run and type in CMD then hit enter, it will bring you to an old fashioned DOS prompt C:\documents and setting ...etc just type in regsvr32 -u...

Have them start a RDP session from the original TS to the other, new TS... or use VNC from the first to the second TS, but i'm not sure this would handle multiple simultaneous users.....

are you saying you have the system drive and its mirror on the same drive? If so this is a poor design as it only protects against bad sectors, if the failure in the drive is with anything else but...

try rebooting in safe mode (tap the f8 key at power on until you see a menu) choose safe mode, then when you get in to windows, navigate to the folder and delete it manually.......

I haven't done this with 2006, but you used to be able to go into the cd thru explorer, find the NAV folder and trip the .msi from there. Also you might try installing the whole thing then removing...

did you try the devices drop down menu? it provides compatibility options for some cards, the intel pro set prism doesnt work but ndis 5.1 does for me.....
