You took this machine to a tech and they tested the machine because with emachines usually the mobo's on most models frys it usually frys the processor with the mobo.

Test them out of the case on an insulated area.. being your getting heat off the board OMG makes a valid point, try another brand of memory.

Really most older ISA card worked nicely the problem is finding drivers if you don't have on hand the card drivers / you also could give www.driversguide.com

Yep had many of ASUS's MB fans with this problem.. your choice is to RMA the MB, add your own fan.. the MB still runs fine with the heat sink.
