CameraWindow (at least the current version...) is stated to be Win7 compatible, so if the Firewire device shows as OK in Device Manager, I'd be looking for another computer with Firewire to confirm...

Why on earth would you want to disable prefetch, it's a significant optimization in XP, and will also cripple boot file optimization on the hard drive.

You mean key combination to switch display between internal/external screen? If that, varies between units - of what I have here HP/Compaq uses Fn+F4, Asus and Toshiba both use Fn+F5
