Oh ok!!! Yeah the blinking happened without any X's so I guess thats a good thing. The speaker configuration is set to stereo. What's weird though is that its inactive... It doesn't let me click on...

I pressed test - no sound.
I played around with the settings and then pressed test - still no sound.
I can't find the "X" either.
How do I correct the sound output settings?

Thank you for the link, OMGmissinglink. The sound driver was finally installed without errors. There's just one problem...I still don't have any sound :sad: Once again, any help appreciated...

I keep checking that over and over again...the volume mute is definitely off.
Noonoo, as far as the speaker configuration settings go, how do I check to see if I have the right one?

Yes, "High Definition Audio Device" shows up under "Sound, video and game controllers".
I clicked on properties and under the 'General' tab it says "This device is working properly".
