Question 376 - RESOLVED
Anna Gram swerved as she skidded over the broken glass, blowing two of her tires.
She stopped the car and suddenly her door was yanked open and a masked man demanded her cash. After taking her money he ran off into the woods.
Seeing a gas station in the distance, Anna began to walk. She arrived to find Clyde fast asleep in his chair. She woke him and said; "Excuse me mister, but I've just been robbed and I have a couple of flat tires. Can you help me?"
Clyde yawned and replied; "Lady, I just sell petrol but my brother Jepp owns a service station just up the way." He got up and shuffled to the phone returning moments later to say Jepp was on his way with the new tires.
They arrived at her car just as Jepp was installing the new tires Clyde had requested. Anna paid Jepp with her credit card and drove to the police station to have someone arrested for robbery.
Who and why?
__________
Clyde.
Without seeing the car, he would not have known the size of the tires to order.

Clyde - she never told him where her car was

Who and why?
Or Jepp because he knew how many tires to bring ?

Or maybe Jepp brought 2 tires because Clyde told him to, and Clyde shouldn't have known that - so in that case Clyde was the one to be arrested?

another reason for jepp would be that in order for new tires to beinstalled would mean that the car would have to be in jepp's shop (for the tire machine) as she never mentioned replacing rims) so if they arived at jepps shop and he was already finishing the job he would have had to have gotten the car before the call came in. plus he stands to profit most from the whole operation.

Arrest Clyde because he ordered the tires, knowing that she could pay, even though she was robbed (Clyde knew that the robber, Clyde, had taken only her cash).

I really have no clue here - maybe Jepp because he took her cash but left the credit card so she could pay for her tires?

This can go one of two ways...
Clyde is guilty because he knew the type car, and therefore, the type of tires needed for the car. He told his brother Jepp the needed size without asking Anna for that information.
Or...
Jepp is quilty because Clyde informed him that Anna car had a couple of flats. Instead of bringing a tow truck to take her car to the service station, Jepp knows the type of car, and therefore the type of tires needed, so he brings the correct tires without Clyde asking Anna this information and telling Jepp.
