Need help with a power issue.
My power supply does not power up anything...and I just bought it.???

Check the switch on the back of the power supply, make sure it is fully switched over to 115(110,120). Flip it to 220(230, 240) and back. If that doesn't work check the fuse and see if it was blown, and remember!
New doesn't mean it works! Try a different one!

Is it an ATX supply? If it is, make sure the switch on the back is on. Also make sure that the case power switch that goes to the MB is connected where it's supposed to. You can also try shorting the two pins on the MB to start it up. If it is AT, make sure the switch is good. If everything fails then you can always return it and replace it.

addition to said above:
Disconnect PSU from all devices.
If it ATX PSU, short green (pin no.4)and any of black wires contacts. PSU should start. If not - return power supply back.
