enter windows password prompt at startup
At windows 98 startup,i'm prompted to enter a password, and it says if i don't, i will not get this prompt again at startup.BUT i keep getting this password prompt everytime at startup.I installed the same windows98 on a small disk and i did not enter anything in the password box, i just cliked cancel and it never prompted me again, but not so when i installed on different hard disk on the same computer.Please help.Felix.

Right click network neighborhood and choose properties.@ the Primary login choose Windows login instead of Client for microsft networks.Also you can delete the .PWL files on you system.

Thanks guys,all i did was put my name in the name box and left the password box blank and restarted the computer, the result?The password prompt box never appeared again.My thanks to of you nice people.Thanks. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Yea....that original box works if you put nothing in and hit OK inststead of Cancel.
