    Question Beep / Post Beep

    <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0"> Hey, I am confused now. When I restart my PC, I do not hear the beep from post, but when I shut down completely, then start the PC it beeps. Any comments, I would be very thankfull.

    When windows restarts, it doesn't always restart the PC, it may be restarting just windows. (can be done manually if you restart holding the shift key).

    If the pc is truly warm booting, it is probably not checking memory. You don't get the OK beep. This is normal on most PC's, but may vary form one motherboard to another.
