Post K7S5A BIOS detects CPU speed strangely...

To all K7S5A owners out there, why is it that the BIOS detects the speed of my cpu as 100/100MHz instead of the usual advertised clock speed (i.e. 750MHz).?

Most likely because that board is jumper set for 100.I have the K7ama board and it uses 100 or 133 which makes the 200 FSB or 266 FSB.
I am not a expert but hope my knowledge will help you.

the 100/100 is the CPU FSB(100Mhz) & Memory speed (100mhz), not the actual CPU speed
