    no display on Laptop

    Hey guys I have compaq evo 1020. I tried to download graphic drivers. but that really corrupted my display. I cannot get anything on the screen. Can someone help me. The hard disk and everything is working fine its just no display.

    Welcome to Windrivers ysr aurora

    did you get the download from here?

    What operating system are you running?

    There are two drivers you will need, the graphics driver and the display driver

    Can you boot to safe mode?

    I try to download from HP website.
    and I use windows xp professional. i cannot even log in safe mode as there is no display at all.

    If there is no display at all, it is not a driver problem, but a hardware problem. Can you describe exactly what happens when you start the machine?

    Hi

    when I switch on the hard disk runs cd rom everything is working but there is no display.

    Then the display is faulty... is the laptop still in warranty?
    If you look very carefully (change the angles, use a torch) can you make out anything on the screen at all?

    Then you need to either learn to replace a laptop display, or take it to a technician. Sorry.
