    Resolved [RESOLVED] Post Problems...Post Halts..

    Hi all,

I come to you with a problem I have not encountered before. I am refurbing a Pentium 100 for my friends kids but am having a problem. After clearing the CMOS, setting the HD detection to auto, configuring the rest of the BIOS and saving the machine reboots, only to FREEZE on the post. It does the memory check and comes out OK, then comes the line "award Plug and Play extension V1.02", at the end of this line, the cursor stops and blinks, then the post halts...Does anyone have a clue whats going on here..?

    Sulli

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for the input. It seemed to be a faulty HD cable or floppy cable. I removed and replaced both and not the post completes. A new problem arose though, after a clean install of Win95 OSR2, on the first reboot, the "starting win95" screen never shows up. When trying to boot from C:\Windows, it tells me that "Himem.sys" is missing.. WEll, its not missing.. I think the HD may be flaming out on me..
