[RESOLVED] What the hell is an AMC?
I've got one on my aforementioned ASUS TX97-XV, but I've never seen one before.

The AMC slot is for and Audio Modem Codec riser card, this card has both modem and sound built all in one,
Heres a link to a toms-hardware page that may give u more info on the diffrent slot types that are around, i belive (though i'm not 100% sure) that the AMR and AMC are the same beast
