[RESOLVED] american magatrends motherboard video driver
sir or mam,
I have an American Megatrends motherboard (number: 51-0814-001437-00101111-071595-570-001_10_chipset H). I recently crashed windows and i had to reformat my harddrive and reinstall widows 98. My question is: I need the video drivers for this motherboard. the video is on the board and i am unable to view any colors. can/will you help me out?
thanks
j.m. monte
p.s. i have misplaced the OEM install disks with all my drivers.

What brand of video chipset are we dealing with, I know you mentioned American but sometimes they use a diferent video chip set like Cirrus Logic and I thought that American Megatrends made just BIOS chips

That ,my friend ,based on the bios code you gave me, is a PCCHIPS model M570 motherboard.
also sold under the Hsing Tech nambrand as well as a few others...
During my search , i found this possibility for being an onboard video driver
http://203.66.2.110/ftp/Drivers/Mult...5/205123-2.exe
Also , while im not saying it doesnt have on board video , from what im reading , there is an AGP slot on that board , and you "most likely" have a video card in it , that said , here are the drivers you will need fro that board to run windows 95
IDE
tp://ftp.pcchips.com.tw/driver/ide/win95/m570.zip
Sound
ftp://ftp.pcchips.com.tw/driver/soun...5/soundpro.zip
AGP
ftp://ftp.pcchips.com.tw/driver/vga/AGP/m570agp.zip
The only difference between the windows 98 drivers and the 95 drivers are sound , and this is the link i have for that
Sound 98
ftp://ftp.pcchips.com.tw/driver/soun...8/sndpatch.exe
good luck
Life is good...sometimes...
