    Exclamation Windows 98 shutdown problem

We have a problem regarding Windows98 shutdown.
we have almost 70-80 m/c's with Windows98 installed on them. When we try to shutdown Windows98 it shows the shutdown screen and then freezes the sceen and does not shutdown. This feature is happening in many of the m/c's (HP Brio B600). We had downloaded a patch(4756us8.exe) from the microsoft site and tried it on some of the m/c's having this shutdown problem. It worked initially and all m/c's having this shutdown problem were shutting down normally. But now the same problem of shutdown is still persisting in those same m/c's.If you all can come up with a solution for this we would be grateful. Please e-mail the solution to us at [email protected] / [email protected] asap.

    Thanking you all

Shutdown problems like you've described are almost ALWAYS hard-ware related. You could try reinstalling different peices of hardware on your system(s) and see which one solves your problem.
