printer sharing issue......
I have an HP 5Si on a JetDirect, and it's loaded on a NT Server. I've never had issues with sharing this computer, but right now with this new driver I loaded, all my Win98 workstations cannot find the shared printer. Yet all my Win2K systems can find the printer and everything prints fine. Now, on my server I have loaded a variety of "printers" or drivers for this specific printer. I believe there is 4 all together. Don't ask why, long story. Some of these other drivers "printers" (keep in mind these all point to the same printer) can be recognized by my Win98 systems, but like two of them won't. Wasup with that? The only thing I figure I can do would be to load NT's "alternative drivers." But I've never had to do this in the past. If I do try to add the Win95 alternative driver, it asks me for "the file '*.inf'on Windows 95 Flat Share." Where do I find this requested file? Anyhow, I'm running out of ideas.
Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Oh and if you need more details just post them. I'll be watching...

I take you've already been to HP's website for drivers for your LaserJet.
On the left-hand side of that webpage are links for Using Your Product, Solving a Problem, etc. Lots of good info there...
I was able to find HP's site for "Windows Requests Flat Share Files When Installing Alternate Drivers."
Also, go here for Installing a Shared Printer Driver Using Point and Print.
Good Luck!
