[RESOLVED] Max HD Size on Giganyte GA-5AX?
What's the maximum size of UDMA IDE HDD I can have on my Gigabyte GA-5AX? It's a couple of revisions old.

Geezer
I doubt you can find a single hard drive that big, what you may find is that it won't support UDMA/2 properly. The size supported is to do with DOS/Windows etc not any board limitations.

win95 osr2 & higher can handle single drives of up to 3 terabytes in size ( 2000 Gb ) as single partitions , the 5AX will handle drives in excess of 33Gb , which is the largest that I have tested on these boards.
Make sure that you have the latest bios revisions for full compatability
