Post put google in IE search

Came across this tweak on 'the Screen Savers' site from Tech TV.

    <a href="http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/windowstips/story/0,24330,3370170,00.html" target="_blank">The Screen Savers Tip</a>

It shows you how to put Google in as the Search tool for IE5 and IE6 instead of the lame search options Microsoft includes.

Yeah I know you can use the google toolbar, but I got enough toolbars already

Sweet, I wondered if that was possible.

    Cool Thanks!
I hope that someday we will be able to put away our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.

    Question

While we're on the topic: Does anybody know if there is a way to stop the MSN search page from coming up if you enter a bad URL? I have been using the Google Toolbar and above mentioned hack for some time.

    Exclamation

    Hi Mac,
In case you haven't already done so, go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced...scroll down to Search from the Address Bar...click on Do Not Search from the Address Bar. That does it for me. Let us know if that fixes it or you'll still having problems.
