I hate Fridays that start with this...
User sent in a request to fix his fax machine, it sends but does not receive.
As I know nothing about fax machines, I send the ticket to the next higher support level.
This level specifically has "fax support" listed under their responsibilites.
I get a call from them, asking what I did to troubleshoot the system. I told them I did nothing, as fax machines are not my responsibility. They then told me, that I MUST try to troubleshoot it first, as... now get this... THEY know nothing about fax machines, and will not try to trouble shoot it unless I go out there and check it out first..Now, this is a five mile drive.. and they want me to go turn it off and on <user already did that> before they will take the call.... I just hung up on them..
