I beleve there are jumpers on the motherboard that would clear the password. What kind of board are you using?

For AWARD BIOS dated before 1997 year universal password is AWARD_SW (with shift key pressed!).
If Your PC able to boot from any device, download and run "killCMOS" or similar util.
Another way - AWARD work around password calculator, what I have in my collection. I can send You that util, let me know.

You can always remove the battery. Then you are going to have to set your bios again if they are not the standard factory settings. That is the quick and lazy mans's way

Welcome to windrivers Mr-Dot-Com. There is a row of switches on the board. Moving switch #4 to "on" will clear the password.
Probability factor of one to one...we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.

That OEM motherboard ( KZM-6120 ) is made by FIC and used in many of HP Vectra-series PCs... You can have the complete manual for your board:
http://h200002.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/s...2/lpv06682.pdf
Page 25 has full description of that DIL switch...
As far as I remember, BIOS in Vectra series is accessible by pressing F2 during boot...
