[RESOLVED] High speed sound
Check this out: Athlon 750 in an Aopen mb with onboard sound (I think it's the AD1885), Aopen nVidia TNT 3000 plus, Lucent winmodem. Running Windows 98SE.
The sound is like fast-forward.
Any Help?? <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">

try updating your drivers here.

I hope that someday we will be able to put away our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.

The customer brought the computer back in today and I found out that not only is the sound in fast forward but alot of video is too. He plays a game called "Russian Front" and it has a video in the begining and that also goes in fast forward. I told him to update the drivers when he took it back home and to call me if he had any problems doing it or if it had any effect on the problem. He didn't call. So, I can only assume that updating the drivers didn't help.
One other thing, when it left the shop it wasn't doing this. He loaded alot of software and then it started. He tried uninstalling everything he installed and that didn't help.

Ive got the Aopen AK33 board, same problem. Take the Aopen disk that comes with the motherboard, and burn it. Like Danimal said, download the latest drivers for the onboard sound from Aopen, after removing the drivers from the CD packed with the board, and you should be fine.
