ABIT or ASUS motherboard?
I am in the market to buy a motherboard, and I am torn between getting an ABIT or an ASUS motherboard....any suggestions, and why?

In the Past, we always used Abit(LX6, BX6, BH6, BE6-2 raid excpet for workstations, where we used Asus P2B-s. Now that Slot one has gone bye bye, we use the Asus CUSL2-C for PIII and P4T for P4's. Have not tried the Abit P4 board, but all reviews say the Asus is easily the best P4 on the market, and we love the CUSL2-c. As for AMD boards, I will defer to the much more knowledgable AMD users than myself, although a vast majority of them do seem to prefer the Abit KT7A- raid.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Abit kt7a with or without raid is the best board out there for AMD. Asus is supposed to release a new board that is supposed to be comparable. For now at least Abit is on top.

In my opinion they are both great. Choose the manufacturer based on which one produces a board that matches what you need.

I like abits or asus. Lately though, I think Abit has had a quality/reliablity control problem with some of their models. We've sent alot more for warranty lately under 1 year than we've had with either asus, giga-byte, msi or matsonic. If this continues, we will stop promoting abit altogether.

Both are excellent ones. The best.
If I had to choose between these two, I'd go for an Asus one. No particular reason. I just prefer Asus.
