[RESOLVED] Compaq Laptop Sound
I have a Compaq Laptop that when turned on automatically turned the speaker volume to the max, is there a patch to keep the volume at the previous setting. The volume control is a 2 small buttons on the keyboard.

My Dell Lattitude did the same, all I did was lower the windows volume settings and when I restarted it was at a desirable level. The keys on my Dell have the same setup there are 2 function keys that lower and raise volume when in windows. you could check the BIOS(I never checked) I will look at mine tonight.

I have a Compaq Armada7400 that had a similar problem...there is a hardware volume and a windows volume. I just turned down the windows volume. I looked at Compaqs site but never found anything adressing this issue.
