Resolved [RESOLVED] 5-hundie box too fast for DOS app...

Wow these forums are down for a day and work is suddenly SSOOOOOn BORING!

    Bueno dias all,

Would somebody please enlighten me on a solution for the following situation for your consideration.

A guy has a pharmaceutical prog that plans weekly meds for nursing home residents and runs a machine that dispenses them into little labeled packs for each day.
Any-who, he was using a 486 66 and wanted more speed. I whipped him up a k6-2 500 box, ghosted the DOS drive to a 6G and sent him on his way.
So 2 days later he calls back saying the machine is too fast for the program, the data is flying my too fast for him to operate it.

Is there a software solution to this problem?

Thank you kindly for your time

    Hi there,

Thry the utility at this page. It will allow the user to throttle the speed of the system down by injecting waits into the processor timings.
