Resolved [RESOLVED] Bios size recognition of Hard Drive

    I have a WindowsNT4 File Server with a 440BX
Motherboard and a 10 GB Hard Drive. The Bios
largest partition allowed ( apparently) is
8 GB. I'm going to upgrade the OS to Windows 2000
Server and would like to add bigger hard drive(s).
Can I flash the BIOS to improve the max. single
letter Hard Drive siae ? Also the WINNT4 only
    allows 2.1GB Partions (NTFS).

Yes, You should update BIOS to the latest possible version, written for that particular motherboard. Visit manufacturer's site for more info.
Most of BX motherboards I have ever seen supports directly via BIOS at least up to 32Gig without any problems, or even more, if that motherboard made by one of well-known brand manufacturers like ASUS,Abit,Gigabyte and so on... But do not forget to save important data before...
