According to the Release Documents to Win95 OSR2 ( which was the first to support FAT32 )it is 2 Terrabytes in size ( which most of us probably won't live to see ). Win98 will obviously see drives up to this size. The limitation is the way the BIOS translates the C/H/S of the Hard Disk. We will just have to wait and see on this one.

Actually I would not be too surprise to see a terrabyte within 10 years. 20 at the most.

Wonder if Microsoft will manage to bloat their code that much. Who am I kidding, of course they will. But a 20 gig ramdisk does sound interesting.

Come on Darren... you should know that the world won't end on New Years Eve... We will just be thrown back into the stone age by the Y2K bug. All of the computers are going to revolt from our years of abusing them and they will leave the planet taking all electronics with them leaving us to settle with actual human interaction instead of the internet.. What Will We Do??? :P

I predict that sometime over the next 25yrs, maybe sooner:
Random encryption will make the internet secure.
OS will be imbedded, apps will be leased from internet(download when needed, so much a pop).
Memory, and possibly CPU will be biochemical rather than mineral, allowing unimaginable speeds.
Personal data files will be stored and accessed from 10+ terrabyte non-volatile flash memory cards, probably biochemical in nature. And likely to contain the CPU as well.
Archives on 1 or more T-byte DVD-ROM-RW disks.
HDD, floppies, etc. will be relics of a bygone age.
Lap-top and notebook computers will be a clunky curiousity like the old XT is today.
Dogs will be trained to shovel up their own poop. Welll...

Are we havin' fun yet?

Maybe I need to change my predictions..
IBM just announced a 73GB drive with a 2Tb/s interface.

Think you mean a 2Gb/s. Saw the T and was wondering if I had read the news release wrong earlier.
