[RESOLVED] samsung cd won't play music

I have a newly aquired secondhand pc with 8 month old samsung cd. Loads and plays data and music cd's but no sound from music disks even though win 95 cd player displays track as working. All volume controls working ok and set up and on and sound from crystal sound card ok on programs. No driver errors shown for sound card or cd, any ideas

Open the case and check that there is a thin cable coming from the rear of the drive to the sound card. If not buy a CD Audio cable and it should then work

If you use Windows 2000 you can probably choose to use digital audio for the device. If so, you won't need an audio cable.
