[RESOLVED] Everex vs DTK Serial Port to MB Cabling

[CAHazard]

anybody there can tell me the difference?
I have a MB that refuses to talk to the mouse
on COM1 thru a 9 pin serial cable....

but will talk to the same mouse with a 25 pin serial cable on COM1...

I suspect the pinout on the MB is
a non std pinout and I'm using the wrong
serial port to MB ribbon cable type....

the two types are called EVEREX and DTK...

can rewire one to look like the other if I knew the differences

Try taking a look at the Hardware Book. They may have the answer.
