After installing a DVD drive into my computer, Windows locks up after i log in. If I do a step-by-step and bypass the driver than everything is usually fine. Any advice?
What driver are you loading for your DVD. Normally, Windows doesn't need any drivers. Could you be loading the DOS drivers ?? Maybe that's your problem...
