    Question what the f@(k......need help!!!

    hey ppl! hope someone can help me. My infrastructure consists of 3 sites with 1 DC at every site. Each DC is setup with AD, DNS & DHCP. Until yesturday, everything was working ok. Now when anyone tries to access a printer that is being shared off another workstation(via parallel) they get this error:
    <img src="http://dingo.care-mail.com/pictures/85/851/128/851284802.jpg" alt=" - " />
    (hope you can see the image )if not the error says:
    Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer. (or, copy & paste this URL into your browsers Address bar.)http://dingo.care-mail.com/pictures/85/851/128/851284802.jpg
    When I try to connect to the workstation that has the shared printer attached to it, to re-establish the share, I get the same error message I can PING from one workstation to another successfully, with either ip addy or host name. I've also created the Users that need access on the workstation that has the printer. What gives? I've checked the Event Viewer, but not getting any where. Is this a DNS problem? The only thing I've done since is run the MBSA on the servers. I've rebooted hoping to flush out what could have caused the problem. Stumped

    Any help is appreciated

    Is by chance the PC with the printer actually logged into the domain,or logged on locally?
    Is the share still active?
    Is the printer online?

    ok your printer is being shared via parellel? and you are able to talk to the computer with ip or name right? so we can rule out DNS problem or DHCP...can the local computer print? check the shares on the printer...

    Check the share permissions. They should be using the domain user accounts, not local accounts (I think you said you had created local user accounts on the system in question). Just a guess though.

    You should rename the computer with a $ at the end. The $ at the end is usually used for hidden shares (you cannot see them when browsing network neighborhood.) It will take a couple of reboots, but changing the computer name will also save future headaches.

    Hope this helps.
