Setting Up printer
I have a new dell windows 2000 professional computer hooked to network(brand new). There are two printers and 1 plotter available to this computer. I had no problem adding 1 printer and 1 plotter. Both of these were attached to computers on the network. The other printer is an Hp 1000 and it is connected I beleive to the server, and I am unable to get it to configure. It's giving me an error message saying that the computer your connecting to doesn't have the correct driver. I checked it out in the Microsoft Knowledge Database and it is a know bug. It tells me to free space on the "system" and try again. Has anyone ran across this before? and if so how did you handle it.
Thanks
Craig

install the printer as if it were a local printer ...then add a new port which will be \\servername\printersharename. use this port for the printer
