    Red face no programs open... missing path o libary or .exe file

    what file is missing???
    that no programs want to open...

    Your system will call many routines on start-up, you can see them under computer management, component services. Have a look and see what is not running (Right-click to get to properties on each service and see if any problems)

    Also, check your event viewer under system and applications (Control panel>Administrative tools) and see what info you have there.
