    Post tosh. 2595 power problem

I've got a toshiba 2595 cdt with win98. a few weeks ago i reinstalled win98 (the hdd went bad :-( ) and since then when i leave it sit and come back to it for a few hours, it has restarted and sits with the "no boot disk found" or whatever exactly it says error. booting from a floppy and running fdisk doens't show any drives. powering it down for about 5 mins fixes it. there seems to be no rhyme or reason to these problems. never happens while i'm around, either. any thoughts?

Why I didn't email this to you is beyond me. Maybe I just thought others might beable to learn or say where I'm wrong. Anyway, I was thinking about your problem. Toshiba doesn't have any updates for power at their site, but they do have one for bios. Try turning off the powermanagement in the bios. If that fixes it, you've found your problem. An updated bios might just do the trick. Good luck.
