    tungsten C palm --dead

I was surfing the internet with my tungsten c last night, when all of the sudden, the screen fades to black. I did a soft reset and was able to get to the wifi screen to reconfigure when again the screen goes black (though I do see two lighter lines that are vertical). This time I do every reset known and still nothing. Anyone have a tungsten c? I think it's dead..need to call an ambulance

Lucky for you it's still under warranty and you can RMA it, right?

    Right?

The symptoms you describe I don't think can be fixed through software tweaking... unless you just hit the contrast control.

Have you tried to completely drain the battery?

Yes, still under warrenty. I contacted support and they said to perform a hard reset (which I did about 10 times before I called them). I am going to get a replacement. It's just a shame to have only have had it for about 2 1/2 months to have this happen! My palm was charged up when I was using it. I did not hit the contrast button. Now, I'm going to have to let the battery run down before the replacement comes..

I recall there was a Graffiti shortcut one could use to force the unit to stay on and lock out the inputs to di just that... but my mind is foggy about the details and if your screen doesn't work you won't be able to tell whether or not it's working, so I'm just babbling on for nothing now.
