It's funny...as long as Aerosmith has been around, and as successful as they are, people often seem to overlook Joe Perry as one of the best guitarists ever.

    I don't...and Brad Whitford ain't bad either.

Actualy, Mike Nesmith had some pretty good licks for the time. Especialy considering they were all hired as actors. No one knew they could actualy play instruments or sing until later.

Satriani?!? How many hits has this guy ever had? One...maybe two???

Clapton has been kicking *ss since the 60's. He has Grammy awards out the ying-yang. When Austin City Limits held a memorial concert for Stevie Ray Vaughn, Clapton was the only one whose talent even came close to SRV. Stevie's brother (I forget his name) flat out sucked.

And as for Sloppy Joe Perry of Aerosmith, I saw them in concert in Memphis and they actually got booed off of the stage; they were so bad. And Memphis is a hot music town too.

    Thumbs up

Stevie Ray Vaughn (just overall greatness)
Eddie Van Halen (innovative at the time)
Tony Iommi (technically not the best but molded the dark heavy sound found so often in metal)

As for Jimmy Page, he may have had great ideas in the studio (with multiple guitar tracks) but when he played live...
