Yup, Tech TV had this on a while back. It took me 7 hours to do one with a p3 550 w/128 Ram. It's a good way to keep your DVD's from dying while using your laptop.

This is pretty cool, but the quality of the movie really tends to suffer once it's been compressed into mpeg format. I guess this would be a good thing to do for when you want to watch movies on the laptop on a road trip or something.

There is a version of Flask around with the Decss ability built in. Someone took the source code of Flask and integrated the Decss source code.
Basically this means you don't have to copy a decrypted DVD to your HDD. Saves time and space.
I can't seem to find it on the net at the mo. But if you search for FlaskDecss you should be able to find it...
Hold on just found a working link:

I'm wondering why someone who has a DVD player should do that for. He can play the movie on the DVD Drive! <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

So you can take your movies on the road without fear of screwing up a $30 disc.
