This is b.s.
the way this works is that your browser only pays attention to everything after the @. So the web address you sre visiting is verything after that. This is the same gag that was used for the emeinem death and for the story on lars getting shot in the nutz.

With Bill Gates, you never know what's true and not. He said that Win98 was suppose to be stable...ha. I'd belive the bat-child story over the stability issues in a Microsoft OS.

It's funny how rampant these hoaxes are and that people fall for them every time. actually, it's not funny, it's quite sad that the public just doesn't understand it.
The one about Lars getting shot in the balls is pretty damn funny though.

I don't trust anything I read on the internet unless it comes directly from a news link, and even then...
It's kinda hard to even trust the news when they have blunders like the "Bob Hope dead at XX" fiasco.
For those that don't remember, the United Press "accidentally" let their story for Bob Hope's death (one that they have prepared for most celebs incase they die) out to a large number of papers, who ran the story. It was even on the news. Suddenly, nearly every paper, and TV station had to issue a retraction.

That's a pretty cool joke. Next time you go to a computer store, set that one as the homepage on the internet browser so that all the customers will see it when they launch the browser.
