    Resolved [RESOLVED] multifunction pci platform

A friend had a Dell computer that came installed with a TBS Montego II multifunction PCI platform that uses IRQ 3. She installed a SCSI card for her scanner that also uses IRQ 3. It appears that I cannot change either of these settings. The SCSI shows a IRQ conflict and is inoperable. However, when I delete the Montego and reboot, the system finds the Montego and reinstalls. All devices are happy-no conflicts-scanner works. When the computer is rebooted again the SCSI shows the old IRQ conflict. It appears that the SCSI Bios needs to be "first". Any ideas how to work around this?

Try settin the SCSI to IRQ 5 in system Properties uncheck use automatic settings and try the drop dwon box there..

Also IRQ 3 is also used by COM2/4 - change the PCI irq slot reservations in the BIOS, remove bith devices from device manager and reboot. They should redetect at the IRQ assigned by the BIOS. Also I have had innumerable problems with the TBS Montego card in the dells.
