SCSI Drive not recognised when installing Win2000 Adv Server!
I have a Compaq Prosignia 200 server & after reformatting the hard drive for a fresh install, am finding that when I get to f6,s & insert the disk with the relevant Compaq drivers etc on I receive the following error 'Line 73 of the INF is invalid'.
The machine is the original Compaq spec. Any ideas on how to overcome this problem would be appreciated.
Frustrated!

I get a similiar error with an Adaptec RAID controller when I try to install it in my VP6 motherboard.
In short, my problem is due to a conflict between the bios on the motherboard and the bios/firmware in the raid card. There was no fix for my situation
Is your card a compaq card? If the whole box is compaq I'd recommend getting the latest bios/firmware updates for all of the equipment in the machine. If it doesn't work I'd say there's an actual hardware failure.
If the scsi/raid card you're using is not a compaq card there's no guarantee that it'll work. Definitely get the latests firmware/bios though.
