    Corrupt Word file

I have a user who deleted the "goofy little ~temp.doc" file that is created when you open a Word document. Unfortunately the guy had the Word document open at the time and naturally, it won't open now. Anyone know a workaround for this situation or a free program to recover corrupt Word files? Word 2002, by the way.

Nevermind, found the answer. Do a File>Open in word, then select "Open and Repair" from the "Open" drop-down. Pretty nifty feature and it did the trick.
