Gone Under The Knife - And Now I'm Back!
Well folks, tomorrow's the day I get operated.
I just received confirmation that I need to be at the ward at 6h45. That's right, in the friggin' morning!
I'm not a morning person, as you may have guessed, so I'm not entirely thrilled at this opportunity.
Especially since I'll probably be admitted into the operating room sometime in the middle of the afternoon.
To those expecting avatar work, I will try, but I can't promise anything.
Oh yeah, I may not be in the forums tomorrow.

Good luck! And I don't envy you having to get up early

Laparoscopic, or "keyhole", as you so elegantly put it.
I'm out of there on the same day, if all goes well.
And then comes the 4 weeks of "recovery".

Good Luck Adept! I'm lucky my wife is an RN and she is real, real cute!
Oh by the way those surgical gowns with no back...make sure the wife doesn't bring the digital camera, there is just no way to look dignified is those blasted things .
And if you can take a paper or magazine with you. I had to wait in pre-op 2 hours before they come and got me.

You just described my wife almost to a "T"!
Just add 6" to that and a couple of pounds, but that is so cool! (she used to be a model )
Thanks for the wishes and prayers folks, I appreciate the support. Don't want to be a sissy about this, but it is my first surgery under general anesthesia.
BTW, I'm taking a book with me for sure. You don't know the meaning of patience until you've sampled Quebec's health system.
