    sp3 issues

    i have tried two ways of installing this sp, both on clean installs, one with sp2 installed and one without.

    both times after installation windows will not boot, due to an issue with scsiport.sys.

    i run my hard drives from a promise fastrack UATA100 controller (not in raid mode), and have a feeling that this driver is the one causing the problem, however i need this driver just to install win2k, so am a bit stuck.

    as mentioned above , i have tried 9 times to get sp3 to work with a promise card and a bx chipset ,,,,

    got 9 disks to fdisk now !!!!!!

    however u can reinstall (second repair option) and it will remove sp3

    as a side note i am now using a beta version ( sevice pack 3 rc 3.51) ands it works ok.
