No POST with Athlon. Post with Duron

Yesterday I was building 10 systems with an Azza kt333 board and Athlon Xp 1900+ chips. First 9 , no problems. On the last one, it would power up for 2 seconds and shut off. So I thought it check for a bad chip. I put in a Duron 850 to test it, and it POSTs. Put a different XP 1900 in, no POST. I cleared the CMOS, and looked for any other jumpers I thought would make a difference and still nothing with the Xp chip. Any ideas?

I take it the XP chips worked fine in another board, Maybe you got a board that wasn't XP compatible and just requires a BIOS flash?
Check the board revision against the book specs, download and update the BIOS if needed, but its weird for the first 9 to work..

    Good Luck..

As an addition to Garak's reply, I would say, what voltage regulator on the motherboard could be having some problems -Duron CPUs consumes less power than Athlons...
I would RMA that motherboard, if BIOS update won't fix this problem...

My fault. Forgot to pull the tape off the heatsink. Cooked 2 1900's. Guess that's what they get for leaving me to run the storefront by myself with 10 buillds on the bench. I was here 2 hours late last night. I guess a brain fart was inevitable.

    Thanks anyways Garak and Ruslan
