need lcd screen for dell laptop
unit came in with a cracked display, part number on the display is #LT150X2-124. It is a dell inspiron 7000 with a 15" screen. Anyone know where to get one at a fair price? saw some sites that listed it at $500.

you could extend your warranty with dell.
they will then fix it for free.. pick it up and return it..
The cost of the extended warranty will be a lot less than the price of a new screen... and a second hand one.. well who knows what its taken in its lifetime?

Is Dell really that gullible? I would have to think that in order to extend a warranty that has ended, some sort of hardware inspection is expected. I could be wrong though...

There's always a loophole somewhere...Dell can be pretty foolish and forgetful. They once sent me a free 19" monitor without asking for the broken one...

i bought my inspiron 8200 second hand.. i rang dell direct and they cahnged the name of the warranty to mine. took about 2 minutes.
I asked for an extended warranty and they had no problems there and then doing it for me. no hardware insperctions no nothing.
Imagine all the thousands of people each year buying machines from dell. there is n o way that they could inspect every machine that required the extended wearranty..
Id'd ring them if i were you....
you'll need to tell them the the service tag and the srial num,ber.. but thats all.. you should be fine as long asx the machine is kosher :
