problem saving images from IE
When i click right-click on an image in IE, and choose "save picture as..." it will only let me save it as a bitmap. Every picture, no matter what type of file it is, instead of poping up with the file name and the proper type, it is always UNTITLED for the file name, and Bitmap is my only choice for file type. I was using ranchoweb.com to host some images, but they are ending their free service, so i wanted to save these images to my hard drive and remove them from their server. (my hard drive crashed since i uploaded them, so i lost my local copy) some of these pics are animated gif files, but i can't save them as a gif file and therefor i only get the first frame. It does it on my PC at work, and at home. Both of which are running WIndows XP pro. I know that my one at home didnt' used to do this, but i dont' know of anything that would have changed that would cause this. what can i do? i only have a little while to get those images off before they are deleted. what am i missing?

Is this a secure site where you might be using your username/password in the URL?
Example:
http://username:password@<a rel="nof...index.shtm</a>
Just a shot. I have seen this before.
heh! that should be a : and then password not the smiley

Ran into this exact same error a couple months ago. emptied all of the temporary cache folders and it works like a charm now.
