checking hotmail with OE6 strangnes
I have a customer complaning that OE6 continually deletes his new messages from his inbox that are recieved from his hotmail account. I have checked his hotmail filter settings and changed them back to the default settings, but the problem still persists.
Any ideas as to what settings either in outlook or hotmail would cause new messages to go straight to the deleted items folder after being downloaded?

Check filters. Could be he has one setup that dumps all hotmail.com addresses to the deleted items.

nope, no custom filters setup in hotmail, there are a bunch of addresses on the blocked senders list, but I have made sure that the customers e-mail address is not one of them. It continues to delete any test messages I send to him from his own account.
OE6 only has one message rule setup, to delete any mail with the word penis, and no one on the blocked senders list.
very very strange.

ok, it does it when accessing his hotmail account straight from the site, so I can rule out OE6 as being the culprit. as I have removed everything from his blocked senders list, re-set his mail filter back to the default level and checked everywhere for a delete message after read option, I will just have to send him on his way and tell him to contact hotmail about it.
