It seems that professional data recovery services can resurrect data from the worst of drives. Certainly I don't have a clean room or alcohol baths, but I'm looking for software that will help me get the recently deleted.
I'm also looking for software that will allow me to resurrect data _AFTER_ the HDD has been FDISKed.

I have used it briefly to recover a customers pictures from an LS-120 disk that had been formatted. I did recover all of them.
Also, one of my customers uses it exclusively for the data recovery business he has. He highly recommends it.

Runtime's Get Data Back and Ontracks Easyrecovery are very nice tools to use. I use them in my data recovery lab with very nice results. Just be careful not to overwrite the data you are trying to recover. Runtimes NTFS recovery seemed to work a lot better than ontracks most of the time even though the process was slower.

I love PowerQuest Lost&Found (v1.06) - since I sucsessfully recovered 100% of customer's data from dying drive what was shown in Win as "unformatted"...
