Someone once told me to stay away from red motherboards?
    Could someone explain why?

I think it's just red motherboards that Mod_King has had his hands on.

Especially if the board is still tacky.

There is nothing wrong with red motherboards. That how the PCB was made.

on a side note, I think EVERYONE on the Windrivers forums now knows who ModKing is

I cannot see why. The only thing I can see is if someone did not like the company that produces the Red mainboards. and instead of saying Stay away from MSI they told you to stay away from red mainboards.

unless there is something I don't know about. thiis sounds like something "Confus-ed" would know about.

btw Meatwad, IMHO I think this was a very professional ask question, and Ronin may not relized what your talking about and take offense to your response, I realize you were just having some fun but I think it was in the wrong thread. I don't mean to attack you But That Just my opion.

    Talking Re: red motherboards

    Here we go...

MSI makes green motherboards, Soltek - purple ones, ASUS - mostly yellow MBs, and may be only PCChips/ECS really makes red-colour motherboards... so, everything is very simple - once again, stay away from red motherboards...

Actually most of MSI's boards are red these days and include some of the best motherboards on the market (IMHO of course).

.... Nope even I can't think of a reason why ... but I do like Ruslan's 'explanation' ... there might even be a 'grain' of truth there, remember its quite common practice for motherboards to made in one factory then sold under another brand by someone different ... maybe one factory was responsible at one point for all the 'red' motherboards everywhere & if they were pants .... maybe ... maybe ... maybe !

& yeah if they are still 'wet' beware ...

Red boards, some people might be color blind.
